I designed a paper Kraft bag as part of a project for Unicorn Packaging, focusing on the product visualization department. The process began by establishing accurate product measurements using Marvellous Designer. Subsequently, I conducted the retopology using Maya, employing the Transfer Attributes feature with UV mapping.
The materialization phase involved crafting textures with Substance Designer, addressing both the paper and bubble wrap components. To enhance overall realism, I implemented a lengthy simulation in the final composition. Multiple bags and a folded towel were strategically employed to convey a sense of thickness and realism.
Throughout the project, an extensive research and development process was undertaken to ensure the bags were as realistic as possible. Various cloth simulation processes and software were explored, resulting in a project where the meticulous effort was well worth it.
The rendering process utilized Marmoset Toolbag with Ray-Tracing.
